Teen Summer Program

Our Teen Summer Program provides meaningful employment to local youth ages 14-19. We come together to learn and understand the relationship between land, plants/food, and body sovereignty, creating a deep knowing of and appreciation for community health and healing. Youth are immersed in all aspects of farmwork– from seed starting to planting, weeding, harvesting, and composting– and will develop nature-based skills such as mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, herbal medicine, and fermentation. We cultivate a space to share and learn from each other to address environmental, historical, and food-system injustices affecting our communities. Let’s grow into our autonomy together !
“This program helps me reunite with the earth. To have the opportunity to work as a team with people that I love, to strive for radical transformation of the food system in the name of land sovereignty is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life. It gives me purpose, but more importantly it gives me hope, that reviving one’s sacred connection to the earth will no longer be recognized as a privilege, but as a fundamental human right.” - Summer Program participant
