Where does the food grown at YFP go?
We have a Mobile Market program which brings food to 3 locations weekly, June to October. The markets are pay-what-you-can, and are open to the public.

We grow a lot of food at YFP! We grow annual vegetables, perennial herbs, and we raise chickens and a small flock of sheep.
We choose where the food goes through the lens of this mission:
We choose where the food goes through the lens of this mission:
- The young people who grow the food have a direct connection with the folks who are eating it.
- It is made available where fresh produce is not already easily available.
- It is available at prices that are affordable for the folks in that location.
Food is sold to the Ithaca City School District, to be added to school meals. We also sell food to Headwater Food Hub, and to Ithaca Bakery. Food is donated weekly to the Friendship Donation Network, No Mas Lagrimas, West Hill G.I.V.E/Mutual Aid Tompkins, and as available to Nourish Tompkins, Loaves and Fishes of TC, and other local pantries.
